For 16 years, Bill O’Reilly reigned as the undisputed king of cable news.

Sexual harassment allegations and revelations of settled lawsuits with five women from O’Reilly for $13 million in exchange for not speaking out toppled the host from his perch high above Manhattan.

But now, O’Reilly appears on the verge of a comeback of sorts. His lawyer confirmed to CNBC that the conservative commentator has nearly completed contract negotiations with New York City’s 77 WABC to host a talk radio program slated to debut this fall.

Per CNBC:

Since his departure from Fox, O’Reilly called reporting of the accusations and settlements by The New York Times a “smear” and has moved on from his “O’Reilly Factor” into a show called “No Spin News.” It airs on his website, YouTube, and on a conservative OTT streaming network known as “The First.” The channel streams on several platforms, including Pluto TV, an internet television service owned by ViacomCBS.

He already makes appearances on the radio network, including for a segment titled “The O’Reilly Update.” There, he gives his take on a wide range of political topics that often revolve around Trump. The update, according to the magazine Radio Ink, can be heard on over 200 radio stations.

O’Reilly has also interviewed Trump himself after leaving Fox News.

If he seals the deal to appear on 77 ABC, O’Reilly will be joining several other conservative hosts with just under 90 days until Trump faces the presumptive Democratic nominee in Joe Biden.

Should his return come to fruition, it’ll be the first time since 2009 O’Reilly has hosted a radio program.

At its height, O’Reilly’s “Radio Factor” had nearly 3.3 million listeners. Do you think he can be more successful this time, or has his star faded? Let us know in the comments below, and while you’re at it, click those share buttons!

  1.  Ever notice when O’Reilly and Lou Dobbs would get an expert guest to appear and then proceed to ruminate and interrupt constantly.

I scream at Lou Dobbs constantly to S T F U and let your expert guest speak.

  2. i only watched fox because of bill.i bought all his books that he donates the profits to a wounded warrior project.welcome back bill!

  3. Fox made a huge mistake letting him go. It is about time he got a major radio talk show and hopefully he will make a comeback on tv. I love both the talk show an tv show. TV show was my go to every night. Since he left and other Fox Stars Hannity and Tucker are about all I watch when I have the time. I’ll listen to Bill.

  4. Bill is as good as Joe Scarborough. And NO I will not be tuning in. I remember what he did when Romney was running for POTUS. He was one of the first to jump on Romney’s bandwagon.

    1. Bill was only allowed back to Fox because the “RINO Never Trump” gang wanted a well known patsy they could control.
