The Benghazi ad dropped by Stop Hillary PAC on the night of the Democratic debate has caused a huge uproar. The ad shows the grave of Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was killed in the tragic 2012 attack in Benghazi. Hillary's campaign called the ad "disgusting," and Democrats on the Benghazi Committee are furious:

Democrats on the House Benghazi committee condemned the ad Wednesday and said Stevens’ image was used without his family’s permission.

Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland, the senior Democrat on the panel, called the ad offensive and shameful.

He and other Democrats urged the panel’s chairman, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., to use his influence to get the ad removed immediately.

For their part, conservatives aren't backing down. Stop Hillary PAC treasurer Dan Backer said the ad was designed to “convey as powerful a message as possible” about the tragedy and Clinton’s possible role in it. “Four Americans died. They didn’t have to, but they did.”

On last night's Kelly File, Jason Chaffetz weighed in on the ad and why the Benghazi Select Committee's work was still important. "Look, you don't supress the First Amendment. We have a First Amendment right to speak and offer political speech."

Chaffetz noted that he traveled to Tripoli days after the attack and noted "it was not the smartest thing I ever did, but it was so insecure they wouldn't let me spend the night there, but they let the ambassador spend the night there."

Chaffetz also revealed the slow pace of the Benghazi investigation, and how the State Department has been slow to cooperate, noting that the Benghazi Committee only got Ambassador Stevens emails in the last week.
