Women's March Meltdown Begins After Shocking Report
The Washington chapter revealed they could no longer abide attacks on the Jewish community from the group's leaders.
National Women's March Co-Chairs Linda Sarsour, Carmen Perez, and Tamika Mallory remain closely linked to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.
The Daily Wire's Emily Zanotti reports:
The group's spokeswoman took to Facebook to explain the "difficult" decision.
“Continuing to be a part of the Women’s March with the blatant bigotry they display would be breaking a promise,” she wrote. “We can’t betray our Jewish community by remaining a part of this organization.”
Painstaking reporting explained how power consolidated in the hands of Sarsour, Perez, and Mallory, who dismissed criticism of them as partisan or thinly-veiled racism.
Yet several local chapters have separated from the national Women's March over the past two months – including Houston, Portland, Washington, D.C., Alabama, Florida, and Rhode Island.
