South Carolina Congressman and conservative icon Trey Gowdy announced earlier this afternoon he would not seek re-election.
The chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform revealed that he would not seek higher office, but instead return to his roots in the justice system.
The former federal prosecutor rode the Tea Party wave of 2010 to victory and gained fame for his prominence on the Oversight Committee and as the chairman of the House select committee on Benghazi.
Apparently, Gowdy has an aversion to politics but believes emphatically in public service. He decided nearly a decade in Washington was long enough.

It’s time for republicans and conservatives to get tough. The so called democrats are going all out to take over this government totally, and change this country for the worse. They want socialism, and communism to be the order of the day, thus laying the ground for a one world order. They see the coronavirus as a hidden jewel to stop any and all gathering of people, mainly President Trumps campaigns. They have their flunky in demented Joe Biden, and the racist James Clyburn is calling for a stop to all large gatherings, to include campaign rally’s, mainly because their golden boy can’t go more than 7 minute, even with a teleprompter. Point is, they are using the virus as a weapon against the Republican Party-and Trumps rally’s. These people need to be deported arrested, whatever it takes to save our democracy.
