Stocks Plummet in Biggest Drop in YEARS
Stocks were having their worst day since 2011 on Friday on fears the Federal Reserve may be forced to act more aggressively to cool down an economy that’s heating up faster than investors expected.

The Dow Jones industrial average fell more than 630 points on Friday, to 25,554.09 by 3 p.m. — a low for the day.

The last time the blue-chip index had shed this many points was on Aug. 8, 2011, after Standard & Poor’s had downgraded the US’ debt from its sterling AAA credit rating over partisan brinkmanship.

The Friday selloff put the Dow on pace for its worst week in more than two years.
