Liberals Continue To Support Public Communist Statues

Confederate statues are coming down all across America—but statues of racist, violent liberals aren’t.

According to an article by Independent Journal Review, three statues of Russian dictator, Vladimir Lenin, are currently standing across the United States.

Lenin, who ruled Russia from 1917 to 1924, not only killed millions of his own people, including those he shipped off to concentration camps, but he laid the groundwork for the system of oppression that would eventually occupy all of Russia and Eastern Europe.

This includes an 18-foot statue of Lenin in New York City, on top of a building in the Lower East Side at 250 East Houston Street.

It also includes an 8-ton, 16-foot statue of Lenin in Seattle, where it was installed after a local man bought it and brought it back from Slovakia in 1994, after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

There’s also a statue on La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles. Installed in 2011, it features a metallic bust of Lenin, where it’s considered an “art display.”

All of these statues are on private property, so it’s unlikely that the government could remove them as easily as they’re removing Confederate memorials.

But notably missing is the lack of any sort of protest from “anti-fascist” groups—who one might think would love to see a statue featuring a brutal, murderous, violent dictator come crashing down.
