Elizabeth Warren was once a liberal media darling, all but anointed to become President in 2020. (SEE ALSO: Dems Give Fauxcahontas STUNNING Ultimatum)

But a sudden move by two media giants has her reeling, and has some wondering if they’re trying to destroy her presidential campaign before something even more damaging is revealed.

The hits started this week when The New York Times published an article lambasting Warren’s decision to give herself a DNA test to back up her claims of direct Native American ancestry and publish the results.

At the time the media hailed it as a masterstroke that “destroyed” claims by President Donald Trump she was lying about her race -- even though the results showed she was only 1/1,024th Native American.

That’s less ancestry than the average American and a serious problem for Warren, who claimed she was so obviously Native American her parents had to marry in secret because of racism.

The harder the media tried to defend her, the harder her effort flopped.

Now it appears the media have realized what the rest of us knew for years. Elizabeth Warren is a compulsive liar.

In an article headlined, “Elizabeth Warren Stands by DNA Test. But Around Her, Worries Abound,” the Times declares the “lingering cloud over [her] likely presidential campaign has only darkened.” (RELATED: REPORT: Elizabeth Warren Lied About Being Assaulted)

“Advisers close to Ms. Warren say she has privately expressed concern that she may have damaged her relationships to Native American groups and her own standing with progressive activists, particularly those who are racial minorities,” the Times reports.

“Several outside advisers are even more worried: They say they believe a plan should be made to repair that damage, possibly including a strong statement of apology,” the Times reveals.

But this bombshell report by the Times was just the set-up punch.

The Boston Globe, which has breathlessly endorsed Warren for Senate and even encouraged her to run for president, published a stunning editorial declaring she should drop her plans to run against Trump.

“Warren missed her moment in 2016, and there’s reason to be skeptical of her prospective candidacy in 2020. While Warren won reelection, her margin of victory in November suggests there’s a ceiling on her popularity; (Massachusetts Republican Governor Charlie) Baker garnered more votes than she did in a state that is supposed to be a Democratic haven. Meanwhile, a September poll indicated that Massachusetts voters were more enthusiastic about (former Governor Deval) Patrick making a White House bid than Warren,” the Globe writes.

“Those are warning signs from the voters who know her best. While Warren is an effective and impactful senator with an important voice nationally, she has become a divisive figure. A unifying voice is what the country needs now after the polarizing politics of Donald Trump,” the Globe continues.

If the New York Times and Boston Globe are suddenly trying to torpedo a Warren presidential campaign it raises a serious question. Are they just trying to eliminate a candidate they know can’t beat President Trump? Or have they discovered something about Warren more serious than racial lies, and they’re hoping to avoid being stuck with a presidential nominee who could self-destruct just weeks before the 2020 election?
