Rep. Greg Pence (R-IN), an older brother of the vice president, who won a House seat in November once held by his more famous sibling has big news amid the ongoing shutdown.

The Constitution guarantees Members of Congress' pay in the event the government isn't open for business.

However, hundreds of thousands of federal workers remain furloughed.

With their plight in mind and Democrats as obstinate as ever, Rep. Pence has decided to suspend his pay until Congress proves it's serious about securing our porous southern border.

Pence explained how the voters of Indiana's 6th District elected him to "secure the border and make government work."

Now, it's time for Congress to follow his – and the president's – lead.
