For months, EPA administrator Scott Pruitt has been besieged by critical reports of odd behavior, wasteful spending, and blatant cronyism.
Most recently, inside sources revealed Pruitt tried to get his wife a job by having an aide reach out to high-level GOP donors.
Despite the controversies, many of the president’s allies have rushed to Pruitt’s defense – emphasizing his effectiveness at implementing Trump’s agenda at the EPA.
But for at least one conservative icon, the continuing scandal has proven to be too much of a distraction and a detriment to the president.

Laura Ingraham is a vigorous defender of the administration. However, her tweet left no room for ambiguity. In her eyes, it’s time for Pruitt to go.
