Dem's Impeachment Push FAILS MISERABLY
The Democrats' push to impeach President Donald Trump – without evidence of criminal wrongdoing – was never going to succeed in the Republican-dominated House of Representatives.

But they must've hoped for more support than they wound up getting, at least from their party.

Just 58 Democrats voted to move ahead on a resolution that would impeach Donald Trump. 364 members of Congress from both parties voted not to.

Rep. Al Green (D-Mich.) introduced the impeachment resolution on Wednesday. Green, who repeatedly has demanded Trump's removal, called Trump "unfit" for office during a fiery speech on the House floor.

Green claimed Trump was guilty of "high misdemeanors," likely a misstatement of the impeachment clause, which references "high crimes and misdemeanors" as the reason for impeaching Trump. He cited Trump's supposed association with "White Nationalism, Neo-Nazism, and Hate," as well as "Inciting Hatred and Hostility" as reasons to remove the president from office.

"As I have said before, this is not about Democrats, it is about democracy," Green added, in a memo distributed to other members of Congress. "It is not about Republicans; it is about the fate of our Republic. May everyone vote their conscience knowing that history will judge us all."
