Dem Rep DEFENDS Hate Group That Attacked Covington Kids
She also defended a radical group with that attacked them on video, calling the teens "racists," "bigots," "white crackers," "f**gots," and "incest kids."
Whoever in her congressional office is managing her Twitter account is doing a bang-up job. (Daily Wire)
"The boys were protesting a woman's right to choose & yelled 'it’s not rape if you enjoy it,'" Omar tweeted. "They were taunting 5 Black men before they surrounded Phillips and led racist chants. Sandmann’s family hired a right wing PR firm to write his non-apology."

-Sandmann’s family hired a right wing PR firm to write his non-apology 🤦🏽♀️https://t.co/fG8AUCuDTr https://t.co/bOA6yFsIjW
Nearly everything in Omar's tweet is factually inaccurate.
Rep. Omar's claim: The boys were protesting a woman's right to choose & yelled “it’s not rape if you enjoy it”
What actually happened: One boy, who many are claiming did not attend Covington Catholic High School, made the comment as the large group of students was waiting for their bus to arrive. Omar's statement tries to portray the statement as coming from multiple members of the group, which is factually false.
The longer video shows that the comment was made during a back and forth with the racist Black Israelites. They were taunting a black student from Covington, calling him "coon" and "Coonye West." Of course this fact is ignored by the Left....— Matt Walsh (@MattWalshBlog) January 22, 2019
Also another kid immediately says "he doesn't go to Covington" after the comment was made. Is that true? I don't know. There are a bunch of girls standing there too and Covington is an all male school, so obviously other non-Covington kids were in the mix.— Matt Walsh (@MattWalshBlog) January 22, 2019
Rep @IlhanMN is now telling blatant lies to smear the Covington Catholic students:— Matthew Schmitz (@matthewschmitz) January 23, 2019
-That boy did not attend Covington
-It was the Black Israelites who were taunting the students
-Omar has hired her very own communications director—why can’t the students?https://t.co/h2SY7sacCX
Rep. Omar further claimed the teens were taunting five black men before they surrounded Philips (the Native American elder who approached them banging a drum) and led racist chants.
Here's a video of the Black Hebrew Israelites, a group even on the leftist Southern Poverty Law Center's radar, screaming vile epithets at the students.
Tucker Carlson highlights what happened to the high school boys from Covington Catholic High School that the media failed to show pic.twitter.com/xg7uqaRi12— Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra) January 22, 2019
Worse, there's incontrovertible video footage showing Phillips, aged 63 or 64, approaching the students and beating his drum point-blank in 17-year-old Nick Sandmann's face.
Finally, Sandmann's family hired a PR firm, but so what? Liberals tried to permanently tarnish his reputation because of their visceral hatred for anything even peripherally connected to President Trump.
Omar has previously tweeted anti-Semitic message and shamelessly pushed a homophobic conspiracy involving Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

The backlash to her tweet was intense:
Far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) defends the Black Hebrew Israelites, which even the Southern Poverty Law Center says is a *hate group*— Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra) January 23, 2019
The group called the Covington Catholic HS boys:
-"Child molesting f**gots"
-"Dirty a*s crackers"
-"Future school shooters"
-"Incest babies" https://t.co/9C3M0lKpww
I was too generous before. These are outright lies by a member of Congress who's already smeared Lindsey Graham as compromised with no evidence after less than a month in office. I'm sure mainstream media folks will hold her accountable. Facts First! https://t.co/0tz1ch9EmB— David Rutz (@DavidRutz) January 23, 2019
I don't know about the first claim. The second claim is ridiculously, manifestly, embarrassingly false. Shame on you. https://t.co/EHHN6eHTKP— Robby Soave (@robbysoave) January 23, 2019
100% false:— James Hasson (@JamesHasson20) January 23, 2019
-The video clearly shows the Covington kids dissociating themselves with the other teenager and clarifying he wasn’t with them.
-The Black Israelites yelled homophobic/racist slurs at the kids
Interesting we’re talking about this instead of Phillips now, isn’t it? https://t.co/uCGhzeABOt
Guys, take it easy, it's more important to be morally correct than factually correct https://t.co/W3h3XYqMBU— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) January 23, 2019
