HBO's Bill Maher said during an interview with former Democratic National Committee interim chairwoman Donna Brazile on Friday night that "it doesn't matter" if the Democratic primary was rigged (RELATED: DNC Chair Finds Proof Hillary Rigged Election).

"Can we put the Bernie [Sanders]-Hillary [Clinton] thing aside? That great divide?" Maher asked Brazile during the interview on "Real Time," referring to the primary battle between Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

"I mean, that’s what all the controversy was with your book, that the elections — the primaries —were rigged," he continued.

"And, you know, it doesn’t matter, first of all, now. It’s over," the host said. "And also, the policy differences between the Bernie folks and the Hillary folks were really small to begin with."
