With ISIS continuing to pose a threat, the Saudi government has beefed up border security, including a 560-mile wall.

Jihadists have already probed the defenses of this highest-profile effort by the monarchy to insulate itself from the rest of the Middle East.

The state-of-the-art barrier includes scores of watchtowers with radar capable of detecting infiltrators from dozens of miles, underground movement sensors, hundreds of rapid response vehicles, and a fiber optic cable directly connected to the Ministry of Interior.
