The seven-mile wall along the Everos river, a natural barrier between Greece and Turkey is designed to prevent Middle Eastern migrants from entering Greece.

Observers consider the Everos a dividing line between Europe and Asia.

Besides the wall, this section of the border is militarized, a relic of the two countries 1974 conflict over Cyprus.

The Greek military buried 25,000 antipersonnel and anti-tank mines along this same seven-mile stretch. However, minefields are clearly marked.

The new wall to deter illegal immigration is 13 feet high and equipped with night-vision cameras providing a live feed to border patrol.
