A Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and beacon for conservative thought, Charles Krauthammer came into our lives nightly on Fox News' "Special Report."

Krauthammer began his career as a Harvard-trained psychiatrist who eventually found fame as a syndicated columnist.

In August 2017, he underwent surgery to remove a cancerous growth on his small intestine. Although doctors considered the procedure a success, on June 8, 2018, Krauthammer announced his cancer had returned and that he had only weeks to live.

Krauthammer died in an Atlanta hospital on June 21. He was 68.
