The growing push for a more aggressive posture by Democrats (one which Congress is ill-prepared to take) is driven by younger members like Scanlon.

"Nothing is off the table. It can't be off the table. We have to look at all of the options to do our job and protect the Constitution and to make sure the government is functioning the way it should be," she recently said.

Despite representing a swing district, Scanlon has made a name for herself as less willing to compromise with Republicans or avoid clashes with the White House.
